Well-child visits allow for continuous monitoring and promotion of healthy growth and development. The ideal frequency of well-child visits are newborn, 4 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, and then semi-annually throughout childhood. Well-child visits consist of a thorough history, a comprehensive physical exam, indicated screening tests, relevant labs, and guidance. Areas covered include nutrition, safety and injury prevention, behaviour and lifestyle, psychosocial, environmental exposure, healthy immunity, and developmental milestones.
A complete physical exam will include cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal, ear, eye, nose, throat, and neurological exams.

Naturopathic Doctors are regulated medically-trained health professionals, regulated under the College of Naturopaths of Ontatrio and the Regulated Health Professions Act. Naturopathic Doctors must receive a minimum of seven years of post-secondary education, have completed over 3,000 hours of classroom training, 1,200 hours of clinical experience, and have passed three board exams to become licensed. Once registered, Naturopathic Doctors must complete ongoing continuing education courses.

The frequency of your follow-ups will depend on your progress and personal health goals.
